Easter is approaching and QCYC has something for everyone. Whether you choose to race in the club’s annual signature regatta event, the Queenscliff Cup and Commodore’s Trophy for female helms, or be spectators viewing the on water action, or just kicking back in Paradise for some R&R, there is plenty for everyone.

So here is your checklist to get onboard for whatever “floats your boat” over the extended weekend. Get online now.

SAILORS KEEN TO BATTLE THE TIDES……     

A series of five races over two days  (Saturday 30 March and Sunday 31 March) with a proviso for a resail on Monday 1 April if is required.

Queenscliff Lonsdale Yacht Club will also be assisting, providing their new Race Management boat and additional race officials and running their popular Passage Race within the series.

Entry fees for the regatta are -

$50 for series (5 races) including free berthing Sat and Sunday evenings OR

$30 per race (no free berthing)

Late entries will be accepted up to 1000 hrs on any morning of the series on payment of the specified Late Entry Fee of $60 for series or $40 for each race.

For those entering the Regatta, the Entry form requests additional information re your boat metrics, your crew members and their Australian Sailing membership numbers and confirmation that you have already completed and paid for the booking process.

If you entered for the 5 race series you will be given 2 free berthing nights (Sat and Sun) but you will have to pay for any additional days during your stay. So complete the Berthing Request and Wharfing payment before entering the regatta.

ALL BOATS, MEMBERS AND VISITORS TO THE CLUB……

Check availability of berths by completing your Berthing Request form and on confirmation of your berth, make the Wharfage Payment.

For every overnight stay by members and guests over the age of 18yrs, there is now a compulsory $5 per person per night fee to be paid.

Regatta entrants will need to complete these steps before proceeding to payment for your regatta entry.

For the younger ones, an Easter Egg Hunt is being organised, so please indicate the number of children in your party on your booking form.

Thanks to the ‘galley angels’ who are putting on a roast dinner and Trivia quiz for all sailors and visitors at the club on Saturday evening 6pm. Cost $25 per person. Bookings are essential.

Gate opening hours are 0700hrs daily.

Good Friday and Easter Saturday closing time is 2100hrs.

Easter Sunday and Easter Monday closing time is 2000hrs.

Boat owners/ skippers are reminded of their responsibility to inform Checkpoint 1 with 48hrs prior notice by phone on 5254 9468 to advise the arrival of any visitors to your boat with vehicle registration and passenger numbers.

Ferries over the Easter period will run hourly from 0700hrs – 1900hrs from both Sorrento and Queenscliff terminals.
